Hole #1
- Par 4
- Handicap: 2(M)/3(W)
Hole Description
This is a demanding par four; a well placed tee shot into the fairway is a must. Second shot is to an elevated green with a bunker front left and one on the right side.
Hole #2
- Par 3
- Handicap: 12(M)/17(W)
Hole Description
This is the first of five very demanding par three's. If you are going to have a good score, playing the par three's in even par is a good start. This one plays up to 220 yards, slightly downhill.
Hole #3
- Par 5
- Handicap: 16(M)/ 9(W)
Hole Description
This is a par five and a very good birdie opportunity. A tee shot must be left of the right tree line, or you will be blocked out on the second shot.
Hole #4
- Par 4
- Handicap: 8(M)/ 7(W)
Hole Description
A slight cut off the tee with a driver or a well hit three wood is the play. Avoid the right woods, as they are out of bounds. A good tee ball will leave you with a short iron into a two level green.
Hole #5
- Par 4
- Handicap: 6(M) / 1(W)
Hole Description
With newly added fairway bunkers down the left-hand side and townhomes located to the right of the hole, this hole is tricky because of the narrow fairway. The average, right-handed golfer must take care since a slice will put your shot out of bounds.
Hole #6
- Par 5
- Handicap: 18(M) / 11(W)
Hole Description
You want to keep it away from the bunker on the left-hand side. This hole typically plays into the wind on this par 5. On the second shot, you want to keep it out of the bunker on the right. On the green, distance control is a premium.
Hole #7
- Par 4
- Handicap: 10(M) / 5(W)
Hole Description
Your tee shot is straight; however, avoid the right rough as the large pine trees on that side will block your second shot. The second shot into the green is a mid to short iron.
Hole #8
- Par 4 (M) / 5(W)
- Handicap: 4(M)/ 15(W)
Hole Description
The tee shot from the left tee requires a draw to avoid the left bunker and right rough. The right tee shot is more straight away.
Hole #9
- Par 3
- Handicap: 14(M)/13(W)
Hole Description
The ninth hole is the second of five par threes and the first of three in a row. This shot is over water to a green angled slightly away from the player. Watch the water to the right.
Hole #10
- Par 3
- Handicap: 15(M)/18(W)
Hole Description
This shot is over water. It plays very true to the yardage. Just watch out for the wind. The green has two levels: one left and one right, with a gradual slope in the middle.
Hole #11
- Par 3
- Handicap: 11(M)/10(W)
Hole Description
This par 3 historically plays the toughest on the golf course and is all uphill. There
are three bunkers on the right, so you better have the correct yardage. If the hole location is
left, avoid missing left, as getting up and down is nearly impossible
Hole #12
- Par 4
- Handicap: 13(M)/4(W)
Hole Description
The shortest par 4 on the course is a classic risk/reward hole. Club selection off the
tee is important and this hole is a good birdie opportunity. The ideal tee shot is 220 yards,
aiming slightly left of the right fairway bunkers. Another option is to drive over the trees to the
left, driving it as close to the green as you can, but newly added fairway bunkers on the left
hand side make distance and direction critical. Anyone hitting a driver can bring a high number
into play, as there is an out-of-bounds straight out across the road. Any tee shots going too far
into the right rough can be blocked out by small trees on the right. The relatively small, flat
green is well protected by Spring Brook Road, which is Out of Bounds, Armstrong Pond, which
is long and left of the green, and two deep bunkers on either side of the green.
Hole #13
- Par 4(M) / 5(W)
- Handicap: 1(M)/16(W)
Hole Description
This 445 yard par 4 is possibly the best on the course. A long tee shot, favoring a draw, is a good play. The second shot is up hill to a very elevated green.
Hole #14
- Par 3
- Handicap: 9(M)/ 14(W)
Hole Description
This is the fifth par 3 and certainly the most scenic. The green is guarded by
bunkers left and back right, as well as Hipson’s Pond down the left side, and a collection area short right.
Hole #15
- Par 4
- Handicap: 7(M)/ 6(W)
Hole Description
The fairway slopes right to left, so aim the tee shot down the right hand side, as the ball will kick back to the left. Spring Brook/ Alvord Road is out of bounds down the entire hole.
Hole #16
- Par 4
- Handicap: 3(M)/ 2(W)
Hole Description
This is a tough par 4, with a dogleg to the left and out of bounds to the right. The fairway bunker is well placed, as it is hard to carry except for the longer hitters.
Hole #17
- Par 5
- Handicap: 17(M)/ 12(W)
Hole Description
A short par 5, the risk/reward with this hole typically sees longer hitters go over the
bunkers. The tee shot is very critical on this hole with three fairway bunkers on the right hand side.
Hole #18
- Par 4
- Handicap: 5(M)/ 8(W)
Hole Description
This is a great finishing hole. The fairway is a slight dogleg right, with out-of-bounds
right, two newly added bunkers right, and with three penalty areas to the left in the treeline.
